I just wanted to post because I'm so happy that I found this dress- I was REALLY lucky. I saw it on a girl and I stared at her for about 20 mins. before I had the nerve to ask her where it was from. It looked fabulous on her. She told me South Moon Under (www.southmoonunder.com) but I didn't want to press for the brand because she seemed kind of snotty. So that night I searched every brand I thought it possibly could be- Tocca, Trina Turk, etc- but couldn't find it. I posted here, but I knew it would be a lost cause without the brand or picture. So I call South Moon Under and describe the dress, asking if they know the brand name or year. They remember it from last year (yay for store employees that have been there longer than 2 months!), and tell me the brand is Myth Ritual. However, they say that they had it at their sidewalk sale this year and whatever is left from the sale has been packaged up and sent to the Annapolis store, whose sale starts July 7, so they say. I say cool, because Annapolis is right by my hometown. So I call the Annapolis store and describe the dress- the girl vaguely remembers it and says to come check out the sale on July 8. I call back later, get a different girl, she says the sale is July 8 too. OK.. So I email the help section on the south moon under website, and ask them if they have the dress in any of the store sale sections, plus ask them when the sale starts. Well, I get an email yesterday morning from the Annapolis store that tells me that they didn't realize the sale started today, but they had one dress left in a size 8 and they put it aside for me. I was ECSTATIC that they remembered, so raves for South Moon Under. So I drive there (45 mins), try the dress on (SO cute, but should be altered a bit to fit better- not too loose at all) and it is marked to...$20 from $168!!!! I couldn't believe my luck! I will post the dress later, but I just wanted to say that it was awesome and I highly recommend this store- it is like a slightly preppier/more modern version of Anthropologie- they carry an awesome selection of jeans and carry a lot of Free People, BCBG, Juicy, Lacoste, Ella Moss, etc. I tried on a pair of Salt Works jeans (the Avenue A flare in carribean wash) and I was AMAZED at the perfect fit. I couldn't believe it. I also tried on some other cute things and I loved everything, but stuck to only the $20 dress because I wanted my trip to not be too pricey.
Here it is:
Its only slightly loose through the bodice, under the chest area. Its prettier in real life and I like how I can dress it up or down because its just really light cotton material.
what a deal!!! I was just about to ask on the alterations thread if you found a picture - i hardly ever have things alterted so i didn't have an answer, i just want to see this amazing dress!!! I'm so glad for you
