Today I have to tell my boss that I am applying for another job, within the company. It's company policy. I know that she knows that I'm bored at my current job, but I'm still a little chicken to tell her. I couldn't sleep last night, I had to take a sleeping pill, and this morning my tummy hurts! So, pleased send happy thoughts my way. I want to tell her first thing in the morning to get it over with...

good luck!  i've always been a chicken to tell my bosses I am leaving, but in both cases they have been insanely happy for me.  If she knows you are bored, she'll be happy for you to move up to things that are of more interest to you!

My boss said that she understands, but doesn't want to lose me. (She never compliments my work, so that was nice to hear). I told her that I had a lot of questions about the job posted and wasn't even sure if I wanted it, and that I wasn't looking outside of the company for work (but I am looking really hard at postings within the company, but I didn't say so)


The gentleman I e-mailed my resume to called me that afternoon to set up an interview. He wanted one this week, but I need the weekend to buy a new outfit and think of some good questions and what not, so it's the begining of next week. I'm so excited.
