so i've been trying to pull of the beater under cami look and i was thinking i would debut it tonight for girls night out (going dancing).


do you think a top like this (this shape-- but no ruffles, mine has small sequins around the neckline and is sheer) would work with a white beater underneath?

second question... if that works im thinking that i will wear it with pants like this but with thin black and white strips and turquoise jewelry and black pointy toe pumps.

i rock this look a lot and i wear my beaters under my cami's that have a bit of lace at the top and the bottom and are a bit looser.  the top you posted looks a little more fitted.  but if it is looser on you (hard to tell on the mannequin) you should be able to rock it.


i love this look- you're gonna look great in it!

mine is yellow, maybe a little brighter than the one the picture.  its not fitted but its not loose.  would it look better if the top was longer?

I wear this alot with all different types of camis, but usually the cami is slightly loose to accomodate for a tighter fight with a beater underneath.  I think that would look fine with a beater, since you said that yours is a bit looser.  What color beater are you going to wear?  It would look cute with a light pink. 


ETA: Regarding your second question...I'm not the biggest fan of yellows paired with black. I always feel like a bumblebee.  I love brown with yellow and also, of course denim.  JMO!

I think the beater look would work, but like Nylabelle I am not a big fan of yellow with black...
