Okay, so I was bored and everyone here was talking about their match.com, eharmony, etc., etc. experiences and I decided to do a 180 and go back on match.com....


Now I remember why I didn't like it the one other time I tried it...


Stupid mass e-mails...crazy men "naming rose bushes, cat, future child, etc. after me...crazier men asking me to provide my e-mail/phone number after one reply...crazier men e-mailing me five or six times because I didn't reply to their first one (hello...I didn't reply for a reason)...crazier men that happen to live right next door to me saying I look oddly familiar--am I their neighbor (eek!!)...and then their is the sheer volume of e-mails.  I seriously think there must be 20X the number of men as women on match.com, because I've got almost 200 e-mails and 600+ winks in less than 48 hours...Is this a normal experience for members of match in bigger cities?  I didn't have the volume when I lived in KC...Of course, my friend Tom says that's because I didn't put my "glam" pictures up when I was in KC and I did this time and men are shallow and will tell you they want a natural girl, but they want a glam head-turner...


Anyway, needed to vent.  No point to this post.  Sorry!

damn!!  what a hottie!  i got a lot of emails & winks when i first signed up, but not THAT many!!  wow, that is just insane!!  granted my pic is "all natural" so maybe the pic really does make a difference!  or maybe ur just jessica alba & have never told any of us!!  hehe, anyways, ya i totally know what u mean about the crazy guys.  this one guy asked for my # after one reply & i told him to give me his first & in his next email he asked for mine again!  he actually turned out to be really nice tho cuz when i told him i had too much going on & didn't want to get involved w/ him he said i was very "mature" unlike the other crazy guy who said i was too "nerdy" for him after i shot him down!!  since then i have hidden my profile cuz i truly do have too much on my plate at the moment and don't really  have time to meet new guys.  it's weird, it's like putting myself out the on match suddenly made guys IRL interested in me!  well, anyways, keep us updated on ur progress!!

I'm getting off match...it's driving me nuts.  I am actually very "normal-looking", but I do have blonde hair and that's been getting comments (stupid men!!).  Anyway, I'm done, it's too much of a hassle and I think I only got this many responses because there are 10X as many men on match in my city as women!!  It was definitely NOT like this in KC!!
