It might just be the lighting of the picture...but the gold seems to blend too much with the color of the heel. I like the dark brown.

light brown is my favorite, but dark brown is more versatile compared to the gold.

i got both the dark brown & gold and returned the gold. so i vote for dark brown. the gold ones were nice but there are nicer gold shoes out there (well at least imo). also you might want to size down b/c the stretch out. i bought my size -- the first time i wore them they pinched a smidge at the toe (i also walked 20+ blocks) and now they fall off my feet.
