My dog slipped on the floor yesterday morning and she sort of slid backwards into a wall. Ever since, she's been holding her tail funny -- it normally goes straight behind her, and now she's been holding it down, between her legs.
I felt the length of the tail, and it seems intact. She doesn't cry when I touch it, but she looks uncomfortable and keeps trying to lick it.
I am worried about her-- the same thing happened to her a few years ago and it went away after a day or two, but she's older now. I am taking my other dog to the vet today for a checkup, so I will ask her, but has anyone else ever seen this happen?
She's a lab/dobie mix, if it helps. TIA.
