Finally a picture of my art... *update*

Although it's not the best and I didn't take it but still! Some of y'all may remember a few weeks ago when I went absolutely apesh*t over the fact that two of my pieces were accepted for this local AIDS Wellness Center benefit. I get half the money they are auctioned for too! I promised I'd post pics (and I'll post real pics when I get my ass over there and take some). I just found out today that they used one of my pieces on the advertising poster for the event. How awesome is that? I'm super-psyched. Anyway, here's the poster and the tree at the bottom (under the Art for Hope lettering) is mine. It's kinda hard to see but you get the general idea. I feel like I won the lottery - I can't even believe how happy this has made me!

Wow. That's about all I can say. I'm overwhelmed by everyone's kind words. I don't really know what to do with myself! Thanks so much y'all! I've always wanted to have some kind of creative outlet, but I've never dared hope it would ever amount to anything significant. Everyone's support (here and irl) and encouragement has, for the first time ever, allowed me to think I might 1) be maybe good at this and 2) be able to do something with it. I'm daydreaming right now as I type this! I'm imagining leaving my boring lawyer job and opening a gallery or painting every day. How amazing would that be?

Okay I'm rambling now - sorry. I just want to say thanks again. Y'all have no idea how much you've made my day.

Added: I just re-read this and I sound like such a gushing goober above! I swear I'm not normally like that.

that's like, the perfect painting for that poster.  It looks awesome!  I love to paint too!  Most of my artwork is renderings though- Maybe I'll post them if I am brave.  I would like to work on my own things though!

I can't believe you would doubt you have talent or can do something with it! That's just crazy talk!  I am no art expert, believe me, but I look at a lot of art in galleries and such, and yours looks as good or better than *a lot* of the stuff I see. So, I say, do what you want to do and don't doubt yourself.
