how does it compare to reg diet coke and diet coke with splenda?
thanks
Hot on the heels of Diet Coke With Splenda comes Coca-Cola Zero. Coke Zero is sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium (ace-k) and has zero calories. The only chemical difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke is that Coke Zero has about half the aspartame but has more ace-k.
Confused anyone? It's a marketing thing - Coke have manufactured a "diet" coke without using the word diet... which in their eyes will appeal to a different demographic.
So how many options are there now?

Interesting, I was wondering what was up with that.
I personally don't like it. I think it's too sweet. FH loves it and swears that it tastes like regular coke. I hate regular coke so that's probably my problem. I like the one with splenda a little better, but not much. I'd say in a range of regular coke to diet coke, you have:
I LOVE regular old fashioned diet coke, and am nerdy enough to have done a taste test (blind taste test, I recruited eye-rolling husband), here is my opinion on both. (Ishould also mention that I used to LOVE regular coke and couldn't stand diet, but after making the switch I can barely get down a sip of regular because it seems so syrup-y)
The Splenda Diet Coke is less fizzy, and I love the diet coke fuzzy bubbly feel. It would probably be okay if I never drank regular diet again.
As for Coke zero, it starts off like diet mixed with a little regular, but half way through the sip it turns full blown syrup-y regular coke.
I know aspertame is supposedly the devil, but I love my diet coke, and will have a hard time switching.

i was skeptical about diet coke with splenda, as i go through about 20 packets of sweet n' low/equal a day. i really really liked diet coke with splenda. greendiamond is definitely correct. it's less fizzy and more sweet than diet coke. i have always liked diet pepsi better because it is sweeter, so i think the diet coke w/ splenda will work great for me, when i drink soda.
right now my beverage of choice is iced tea and iced coffee with the mr. coffee ice tea maker. and diet v8 splash (soooo goood).
