Rodarte for Target

I knew I should have gotten up earlier - everything I wanted from the Rodarte collection for Target is sold out online, and they don't carry it at the Target stores where my parents live. cry

Did anyone manage to snag anything? A lot of it was a bit out there, but there are/were some really cute pieces.

I went yesterday after work. My Target usually gets the designer lines in a couple of days before. I got the dress below. It fits perfect and I actually wore it today with tights and black boots.

A lot of the other items looked really cheap in my opinion, or just weren't my style. My Target didn't carry the bow belts, but those look really cute in the lookbook.

I got this lace top - rest assured I will be wearing more than a bra underneath!

A lot of the other stuff didn't fit me right. I liked those slip dresses but I don't really have anywhere to wear it. There were some skirts that looked like half-slips with tulle on top, but it was super staticky and I didn't want to deal with that!

I think the lace cardis look cute but they weren't at my store :(

So, I have a confession - I wasn't that impressed. I haven't actually been to a target yet and seen it in person, but I saw the lookbook in New York magazine (http://nymag.com/daily/fashion/2009/12/rodarte_for_target_1.html) and nothing really jumped out at me.

Am I alone? Does everyone else love it?

lomish- I got that dress too.

the rest of the collection doesn't impress me all that much either.

though i did want that pink tulle skirt (but I was going to wear it as a sort of slip, barely poking out of a couple of skirts, dresses, etc.)

That's what I wanted it for! Too bad it was static city - I did not see that working out well with even another layer on top of it
