What are some of your favorite things of the Christmas/Holiday season?

Oh I love me some Starbucks red cups!!! You picked good ones. I also love:

-New Boots
-Scarfs
-My kiddos in flannel PJs
-My hubby in sweaters
-Being under warm covers when it's cold
-Christmas lights
-The spirit of giving in the air

I love:

-Stevie Wonder Christmas album (and not having to skip it when it comes up on my ipod shuffle wink.gif)
-Taking warm baths a whole lot more
-Every house always smelling like homecooked meals!
-The Festival of Lights at the zoo
-How excited my dog gets when it's the first day of snow to run and jump in (she always seems surprised at first when I open the door after a night of snow, then she remembers what snow is, and starts jumping around like crazy)
-hot chocolate (with whiskey...)
-being curled up on the couch with warm covers and watching the winter through the windows!

-I love watching it snow, which is odd considering I actually hate snow.
-Cozy sweaters
-Lattes at Starbucks
-Christmas break! 3 weeks away from school
-Picking out presents for people
-Christmas music
-Christmas lights
-VS Fashion Show (I don't know why, but I love watching it every year)

The holidays are definitely my favorite time of year.

*Starbucks Peppermint Mocha (yummy)
*Christmas tree lighting and community events
*Bringing out all the ornaments and thinking about the memories they represent
*Snuggling on the couch under a blanket with my SO
*Watching Christmas movies
*Baking and decorating cookies
*Wrapping presents

and there are sooo many more too :)

- A fire in the fireplace (we just had our first one of the season; it's finally cold enough)
- Turning on the heater, for that matter
- Baking, heartier winter meals like soup! Ahh do I love homemade soup.
- Planning for and making our typical big brunch/all-day feast on Christmas Day. We usually have my immediate family over for brunch and then kind of an open house the rest of the day, so we have people traipsing in and out for whatever games are on TV, snacks, cocktails, etc.
- Cheers to Kelly and Whiskey...such a nice treat on a cold day
- Getting the Christmas decor out of the garage and unpacking all our pretty and special things - hope to do that tomorrow
- Sweaters and boots, of course
- A minor respite from the eternal sunshiney days of So Cal - I know most people dream of having our weather, but I like gray, wet days, and their rarity makes them so special
- Wrapping presents, as much as I grumble about it
