ISO non-itchy, non-padded lace bra! UPDATE: found the exact one I saw on tv!!
Permalink Closed

Hi all:

I am looking for some more cute colorful lace bras to add to my lingerie collection, with or without an underwire.  I really like (and have) one of these:

I am looking for something that looks similar but that maybe is a bit more comfortable.  While I love the look of it, after wearing it a few hours it starts to itch.  Even if I wanted to get more of these, they are hard to find so I need to find a replacement.  Any suggestions?

I know they exist b/c I've seen them a lot recently on TV (Rescue Me, to be specific).

BTW I am anti-victoria's secret.

Thanks in advance!!

UPDATE:  ha!  i found the exact bra i saw on rescue me, which caused me to look in the first place.  i love it and put it on my christmas wish list.  so cute (it's by hanky panky)!

Have you looked at Figleaves?  They have such a selection I'm sure they have something like that.  Also, UO, Anthro, and AE have some lacey non-underwires that I find pretty comfortable.

Hmmm how do you wash your bras now? I think a lot of times bras that itch when I first get them get better after a few handwashes with a good lingerie detergent (I like Forever New the best myself)

I second the figleaves suggestion, they have a review feature so you can read if other people have had a problem with itching before.

I have a lace bra from Just Peachy that I really like, and it has really held up well - it's still going strong after a lot of my more expensive bras have bitten the dust!

thanks, girls!  I am checking out figleaves, anthro, UO, and I forgot that I saw some good ones at free people once.  Kelly, i wash my bras with everything else in the washer - maybe that's my problem!  thanks for the tip about the lingerie wash!

FWIW, I have seen bras similar to the one you posted at Forever 21 and H&M. For a nicer brand that makes a lot of lace bras without padding (though I haven't seen any with the band at the bottom, like the one you posted) you might check out Huit. They carry a few at Nordstrom and Bluefly, and Nancy Meyer (online) has a lot.

Thanks, Miss Mabel!  I'll check those out!
