I remember someone here saying they were buying this coat from Victoria's Secret, but I don't remember who it was! Anyway, I was wondering what the fit was like, particularly if the waist hits at the right place- I am not that tall, 5'3", so often coats are too long on me, shaped waistlines hit me too low.

How low do the pockets fall? I'm actually looking for a shorter coat, one that just covers my butt. But I like the style of this one so much, and the sale price is so right, I'm considering ordering it and having it shortened a couple inches below the pockets. Does anyone know how much this kind of tailoring costs and if it's complicated? The ruffle I'm sure will make it more complicated. Is the ruffle finished? I'm guessing the tailor would snip it short and then re-finish it.

Oh I have it!! I actually got it last winter when it went on sale. I believe someone else owns it too.

The fit for me is perfect and I'm petite, 5'3". I got the size 2, and I it's fine for a thin layer underneath, but I live in Dallas so no need for anything bulky anyways. I'd probably size up if I lived in a colder climate and needed to bundle.

The waist hits right at my true waist, above my belly button. The length covers my butt and goes a little beyond that, but that's about it. If I didn't know any better, I'd think this coat was made for petites. The sleeve length hits perfect too...not too long at all. I think the coat is shorter than what it looks like in the photo.

Oh I forgot one more thing. Is it vented in the back?
