Never been to one myself, but I would assume that yes, you should only wear black & white.

It shouldn't be too hard. I would assume that most people have black and white items in their closet already. You could always wear a great LBD and accessorize it with white items.

it should be easy...but not for a SAHM! lol! only black dress I own and love is long sleeved and it's too hot out here for me to wear for the party.

I'm sure I'll figure something out.....

How about some skinny fitted black jeans with a black cute blouse, and red shoes? I own that.....?????

I would assume that you're not supposed to wear accent colors, but maybe check with the host?

I think stick with black and white. If it were me, I would probably go all one or the other. I think accent colors would look really out of place.

If its a casual party sure!  When I hear black/white party I think cocktail.

I think red shoes are a great idea!  If everyone is in black and white I think its a fun idea to stand out with a pop in the shoes.  Fierce!

okay ladies, my husband spoke to the b-day man of this Black and White party and he says its casual, not cocktail. and that jeans and red shoes are totally okay! WooHoo for me! I don't have to spend that much money. I'll probably end up buying black fitted skinny jeans, cuz the ones I own now I don't care much for.

thank you all for the advice!

So cute!

If you're looking for a cheapie pair, I tried on the new skinnies from Old Navy in Sweetheart fit and I really think they fit my curves well.  They are a skinnier leg opening than the Diva but not too tight.  (they're not so flattering on the model bc theyre too baggy on her)
