The Cardi-Wrap?

What do you think about the sweater/shrug/wrap, aka the "Cardi-Wrap"?  I really like this look! So much more flattering/sexy (in my opinion) than the poncho that was everywhere last season! Cardi-Wrap below is at Nordstrom, $58.00 and also comes in black and bright pink. I'm thinking about buying it in pink to wear with jeans and my tan suede skirt...

that one is especially pretty, mel. i'm usually not into the item of the moment, but this looks like it may hold up beyond this season because it ties like a long scarf and isn't too cropped. i may go see it soon, thanks for posting. i'm always looking for cute tops i can wear over a tank at the office.

I have seen too many large-breasted women wearing those to like them a whole lot.  I am talking about when the wrap is tied directly underneath the breasts and covers the whole breast, just totally accentuating an already huge chest--definately not the way to wear this item.

I just bought a BCBG one (in kiwi, v. similar to the green in the pic) on sale this week, so I'm all for cardiwraps. I think they're awesome for work since you make an investment in one pieces that can be worn a trillion ways. I love how they're so easy to throw on but always make you really sophisticated looking and pulled together. If it wasn't 90 flaming degrees in Los Angeles, I'd wear mine all the time.

I'm a C cup and I honestly wouldn't have gotten it if I was any bigger because so many of the ways to tie it could potentially accentuate larger chests in a not-so-flattering way.

I have four of them and I wear them at least 2 times a week.  They are sooo great.  It's great when you need something over your shoulders, and it's a perfect wrap for dresses because it has sleeves and you will wear it again.  I got my first one over a year and a half ago.  So I don't really think it's of the moment, but they have definitely been at their "peak" from Christmas up until now.  The first one I bought was a red one to wear over a black dress for valentine's day.  I felt very sophisticated and elegant at the super pretentious restaurant we went to.  I usually wear it with jeans though.  I've worn it to the theatre, shopping, etc....

I think the best thing to do is to go to the bcbg store so you can see all the ways to wear it, then buy it from Nordstroms if you want.

Lilykind- What store did you get it from?  I think I want the Kiwi color.  It is gorgeous and sold out of our store.  I think it is best for a C cup or below, but can work if you're a D cup but with a much smaller waist.

Santa Monica, CA...there were maybe two or three left, all in M/L

I never realized it but there are like 8 BCBG stores in maybe a 15 mile radius in Los Angeles . I think between them they'd probably have all the colors since it's just way too hot to wear a cardi wrap around here and has been for the past week.
