I really like shirts like the one below, but I HATE strapless bras and refuse to wear one (I mean that too). So, I'd love to wear my beaters underneath (only for a totally casual look) so that I can still wear a regular bra.

Do you guys think this would look totally weird, or fine as a casual look?

When in doubt try it on and see how it looks.  I'm thinking it probably won't work though.

I don't know- maybe if it was a stretchy form fitting beater.  I have a shirt like that and I don't wear bras at all with it.  I'm a B cup though, it might be harder if you are much bigger.  But the smocking holds you in.

It would definitely be a form-fitting beater. I suppose I could also put a cami underneath it as well, and then with my bra straps (cute ones of course), it would be a multi-strap look. I'm C cup, and would be totally be self-conscious without a bra on.

I guess not just this shirt, but most shirts that have spaghetti straps. The only exception for me to not wear a bra, or anything underneath is for going-out/clubbing shirts. But even then, I would want support.

I'll just have to try the shirt on over a beater and see....

I think that would be ok as long as your boobs aren't out of control big!

I always wear camis with sleeveless/spaghetti strap shirts and then my regular bra (usually pink) so the straps all blend together.

I think that I could see you pulling off a tight white wife beater underneath. Go for it!

Have you tried it on yet? how'd it go?

I think you could pull it off. I've been seeing a lot of girls wear wifebeaters or just other kinds of tank tops under everything nowadays! I posted a similar question but with cami's, I still haven't tried it on yet

I think it might look alright, as long as the wife beater is thin and not racerback.
