to my cat Trump please.

I'm so sad. My family and I just got to Vegas yesterday and my MIL calls us today saying my cat won't move, eat or drink since we left. She's going to take him to the vet tomorrow. I feel SO helpless being so far away and not being able to be there for my catno




*Update*

Well he is doing SO much better now. I came home to him on Saturday, and he came home from the hospital on Friday. He had to stay overnight 2 nights because the 1st night he was there he almost didn't make it through the night. Almost died on them! He's on antibiotics for his UTI and his kidneys were only affected a little bit considering how bad in shape he was.

and just as a word of advice to all you pet owners, if you see your pet acting different, etc. dont wait! take him to your vet. Don't wait until its too late and you have to end up taking him to an Urgent Care because they rob you silly over there!!!!
they wanted to charge me for one night stay, medicine, blood work, x-rays..... a thousand dollars!  my vet the next day charged me $530 for 2 nights stay, medicine, blood work and 2 other tests. Big difference!
I've had to take my dog once to Urgent care and they also tried to rob us then toofurious

but Trump is much better now....thanks all!

Oh no! Fingers crossed for Trump. I'm sure they will do a full blood test, which will tell them a lot. Please keep us posted.

Sending good vibes for Trump! He may just be homesick or missing his family. Animals can get like that when they feel abandoned by their people (not that you abandoned him, but he doesn't know that).

okay a little update. My MIL says that this morning he's acting more like himself. meowing to them more and moving around. But it's just SO strange on how he was acting before!
She says she noticed he stayed in the cat litter for a while, maybe squatting? and layed and looked like he was in a daze all day yesterday. He didn't eat or drink that she noticed since she got home from work.
she let our dog in and usually Trump will hiss and move away from our dog Anja and she says Trump was so out of it that he just layed, lifted his head a little bit and hissed at Anja. That just was not normal!!!!
but she calls me this morning before she left to work (she left a little late thinking of taking Trump to vet) and says he's acting more normal this morning. Wierd! So I'm just hoping that he stays normal and dosen't go to the "dark side" again. It's so confusing! and I know she's at work right now...wont be home till probably 6, so I'm hoping he's okay and that I dont get a phone call with bad news.
Ugh!

I'm so sorry to hear that Tati!  I know how hard it is when your pet is sick.  I will def. say a little prayer that he will get better asap - at least he is getting medical attention!  pls post an update on how he is doing when you hear anything.  having just been through this, i'll be thinking of you!  take care!

Thank goodness. Maybe it was a blessing somehow you weren't home - you weren't there to send him worried, nervous weird energy. I was away on business when my "baby" had to stay in the vet hospital for four days and I think I would have climbed the walls if I hadn't been somewhat distracted. (DH was managing things at home.)
