Or, subtitle: "Why I love my Macbook and iMovie & iDVD".
A random rant & praise, by CarrieS!
Work got a new video camera, a Canon Vixia HF11, to record the Sunday worship services. It's now my job to burn those services onto DVD's so that that can be taken to the local tv station.
Today was the first run of me trying to do so. Using the shitastic ImageMixer software that came with the camera, was a giant FAIL. Took me half a day to figure out how to get the damn movie off the camera. The other half of the day was spent trying to figure out how to burn the stupid DVD. Figured that out, but something was wack in the formatting, so whatever burned to the DVD, was a FAIL.
Nothing worked, so I said, "Screw this, I'm taking the camera home to see what happens when I plug it into my Macbook" (Work computer is a Dell and obviously has Windows).
Hmm, took me only 3 hours and only a few clicks to get the damn thing extracted from the camera and then burned. REALLY IMAGEMIXER??? YOU SUCK.
I will now be taking my Macbook into work on Mondays and burning from that. Far too easy!
I am now successfully watching the burned DVD on my TV
are you on drugs? J/K for some reason this story is making me laugh but I'm wired right now myself on sugar. Why are you watching sunday worship services on your tv when you could have been watching the Bachelorette Men Tell All. That show would have totally enriched your life in ways that a church service could never do.
