Opinions on these swimsuits, please
Permalink Closed

I have the following swimsuits in my cart on figleaves.com - does anyone have any experience with any of them, or the brands?  Do we like these swimsuits?

I'm looking for something that will be at least somewhat supportive of the girls, but also flattering and sexy for my trip to Mexico next month.

Pour Moi? - Azure padded underwire bikini top

Ballet - Acapulco underwired bikini top

Freya Swim - Vodkatini underwire balcony bikini top

I have the first one in black (It's the Pour Moi? Azure one, right?)

I just wore it on the 4th for the first time. I'm going to keep it - it's super adorable. But it is barely, if at all, supportive (I'm a 30FF-UK/30H-US if that helps). It basically feels like my boobs are holding up the bikini, instead of the other way around! I'm 23 and I don't have sagging issues yet, but I think that even a couple years down the road, I'm going to want something that hoists my chest up better than this does! I did buy the 32F since it ties at the back and I could tie it smaller around. But I don't think the small cup fit changes between the 32F and the 30FF account for the support issues - another reviewer on Figleaves said the same thing.

The weird thing is, I think it *could* have been super supportive, if only the band were sewn on at a different angle. Playing around with it, I think it would have been much better if the band went straight back instead of at the slight upward angle it's at right now. By the way, I'm super jealous that you're getting the pretty blue color - when I ordered they didn't have blue in my size, so I went with black. I just checked and now they DO have blue in my size, but since I just wore it last weekend, I can't return it - and I don't go swimming enough to justify a whole extra bathing suit. Darn!!!

Is the last one by Freya? I like Freya in bras, but I've never worn a bathing suit from them. My cousin has a very similar Freya bikini, though (I think hers is exactly the same as the one you posted, except it's purple with white trim). I think she really loves it, and it definitely gives her enough support - better than some of her bras (she's a 36F, I think). The only issue she had was when she washed it, some of the purple dye from the cups got on the white straps. I don't know how she washed it though - knowing her, I bet it was just in the machine - so if you do get it I would just say to watch out for that!

I know I was really long-winded, but I HTH!

Thank you, Kelly, for your very informed review!!! I think I'm going to go ahead and get them all, and try them on. I do love the color of the Pour Moi? Azure bikini, but I sometimes have a problem with halter tops give me a headache. It's funny though, because I actually owuld have love to get that bikini in black, but it's not available in my size right now!

My local lingerie store sells Pour Moi and they usually are quite discerning about their product lines. My current favorite bikini is a freya vodkatini triangle. I wear a 32E or 30F and find it quite supportive and I am 48 and have sag issues. (Jealous of Kelly who doesn't)

I liked tha blue one. The other 2 are beautiful shape & design, but to me personally they remind more of underwear than swimwear.

Yes, the blue one looks more classic and can be worn by different age women, but the other two would only look good on younger women or girls...
