1. It's so sad that there are so many college educated women in this day in age that are still being treated like $hit in the workplace, even by other women!!!!
2. It is soooo hard to find a job if you are a women even if you are college educated and have experience!
3. All the women I have heard from lately on this forum who are quitting or have quit their jobs I am really getting so inspired from you all! I am so unhappy in my job and even though your stories sound so horrible, it feels so good to know I am not alone. I have been doing so much thinking lately about life and work. It's all very existential really: why are we here? Why do we have to work at some miserable job just to get by in life, then we get some crappy retirement, then we die! What's it all for???? Well, I know so many of us are thinking "it's just what we have to do and there are other things in life besides our jobs so we should just be thankful we have a job and blah blah blah". Well, I just want to say that the women who have had the courage to quit the jobs that make them unhappy even though they don't know what they are going to do without that job....you are the ones who are going to be truly happy in life! If you have to struggle without a job for a while, it will be that much better when you actually find one you like. I am sending out resumes tonight, and I am not going to feel obligated to stay in this hell-hole.
Thank you to all of you who have inspired me to find something better! I wish the best for all of you! Good luck! We all have way more balls then any man ever will!!!!!!!!!!
Aw, thanks, Luv2Shop. I'm working on sending out resumes and networking like crazy right now. I honestly have no idea how long it's going to take me to find a job, but I know that not working is a hell of a lot better than what I was dealing with at that awful job. Nine more days and counting.
It is scary, but I have till July till my last day. That is what you get when you sign a contract...
I am getting freaked out though b/c all I have done for the past 11 years is retail and I know that I do much more, I have a degree...so here we all go.......
