Any NonShoppers this Weekend?
Permalink Closed

Just checking in to report that I kept spending to a minimum this week which I'm proud of especially since Cinqo de Mayo just passed and studying for exams started.  Lets see I bought gas for $25, lunch thurs for $6 (no alcohol), and a bellini on sat night after studying for $2.50, and a mothers day gift thurs at steinmart for $12.  Not bad at all!!

How did everyone else fare? I saw some people broke the ban in the shopping section but thats ok.  I won't hold it against anyone if they want to try again this week!

Officially, I just did grocery and went to see a movie this week-end (the dinner was paid by my friends - that's the beauty of being the only lady among 4 guys! )

BUT

I ordered stuff from Anthro on Thu. The money wasn't withdrawn (sp?) from my account yet, though, so officially I haven't shopped yet

No shopping for me.  I'm on the ban now until the first week of July.  I do need to buy a new bra sometime this week tho, so I'm going to have to make an exception for that.

This was my 2nd weekend of non-shopping & it felt great.  I only bought some groceries & a few magazines, but no clothing or shoes.

I was a non-shopper again this weekend.  I'm so proud of myself.  The only thing I spent money on was some food and out w/the girls on Sat. night for some drinks.  Otherwise, I was a good girl.

Waaaaahhhh!!!! I broke the ban with a vengance last week.

I bought two shirts from bebe ($130) BUT I'm taking one back so down to like $65. Plus I wore one shirt on Friday night and it was super-cool.

I bought one shrug from Nordies ($85) BUT I wore it out Saturday night and woohoo! what a great buy. Super sexy and perfect, all at once.

Friday I bought my mom a mother's day gift but it was in my budget, so all good. Bought some drinks Friday night but nothing serious. Maybe two drinks?

Took my mama to lunch on Saturday and luckily she chose La Madeline. (Yay for me!) Also bought my grandmother's gift but again within the budget. Bought a round Saturday night, but that's actually a steal because we all drank soooo much and I only caught one round. Sweet!

Movie last night and I bought some popcorn and a drink ($10!!!!) and only had about two handfuls of popcorn and half of the drink. Damnit. On the upside, I saw Kungfu Hustle and it was soooo good. Definitely a must-see. I suggest the big screen because that just makes it funnier but okay for a rental, too.

I'm officially back on the ban until July. I may extend it through the summer if I keep breaking the ban like last week.

All I spent money on was filling up my car ($29- yikes). The rest of the weekend I hung out with my new dog and didn't even think about shopping. Its much easier not to shop when you are occupied by something else.
