So, I really like this blazer... but I am cheap and KNOW I can find it cheaper.

So I found this from the boys department at Lands End.

Do you think this would be a good substitute? I think it would look cute with a denim mini, wifebeater, but I have no idea for shoes. What do you think? Or is it too similar to something a guy would wear?

***I already know this is SUPER preppy and not everybody's style.

wow--it is a very close substitute!  why not try it out? you can always return it if you don't like it on, but i think it's fun.  i think as long as you dress it down (like you said with a denim mini), roll up the sleeves or something and maybe wear just flip-flops or some chunkier leather sandals, it will look great and not too boy-ish.

it seems close enough.  But how do you think it will look on you?  (Not the style or print, but the cut, will it be too shapeless?)

How much cheaper is the second one?  Because it is still pretty expensive!  I think if its not a huge difference, you should get the girl one, because it will fit better over boobs

i like it. in my head i'm thinking it would cute with your uo wedges, but in reality it might be too bright. also when it's cooler it would look good with a striped oxford, kindof  a preppy/funky thing.  my only hesitation with boys stuff is it's cut funny and it's hard to figure out your size. i have some little boys polos and none of them fit quite right. ae has a similar style blazer, not as cute but still madras-y

I think it is so cute, and I see it with really worn jeans, metallic flip-flops, and a white wifebeater.

That substitute is amazingly close to the first one.
