I know this should go in the Tech thread, but I wanted greater visability...
I am in the process of completely changing our business website. Verizon is our current host at the exhorbitant amount of $250 per month. I have never been happy with the website; probably because I designed it (hey, it was better than Verizon's crappy design) and I have no professional experience with web design.
I am considering going with ipower. They will design a 15 page site for about $1350 and hosting for the year is less than $100.
For the gals with websites, how does this compare to what you paid? Do you have experience with or know anything about ipower.com?
Those prices sound very high - for hosting and for design. Is the design a custom design or will they just be plugging your info into a template, or a version of a template? I'd look for an independent web designer, check out their past jobs, and make 'em an offer under $1000.
