OK, found this AWESOME apartment that is being subletted for the summer. They had an open house yesterday. I don't want to lose it to anyone (the competitive side of me is coming out)...I already sent them an email saying it was nice to meet them and I think the apartment is awesome and I hope they pick me (more or less that's what I said)...now, I'm going up there tonight to see another apartment, i'll already be by their apartment. I was thinking, should I drop a little gift or something by? To bribe them? lol! Is this desperate and stalkerish? Or a nice gesture? What would you think? I reeeeeaaallly want it. What would YOU do to get it???
hmm... if i were in their shoes i would be a little weirded out if you stopped by the next day and brought me a gift, after emailing me. i wouldn't think you were crazy, but if it were b/t you and another person, it's the sort of thing that would tip the scales in the other person's favor.

thanks for confirming it honey, I'm getting a little crazy, that's what I thought...somehow I rememer a sitcom where they did this and thought for a second maybe it was the norm or something. thanks for bringing me back to reality ;)
This apartment is awesome, two bedrooms, two big windows in bedroom, two full baths, brand new kitchen, all new hardwood, newly painted walls, two roof decks, washer and dryer in apartment, 52 inch flatscreen tv in living room...I WANT IT!!!
If I don't get it I have many other options...seeing two others tonight, so it won't be the end of the world...
I might be a little weirded out, too. On the other hand, I might like the gift you brought and it might push you over the edge. Who can tell?
Did they respond back to the email you sent? Some people are really personal about their space and might like you giving it that extra personal appeal.
And I think the sitcome was Friends... and maybe in NYC, that's the regular thing! Who knows?
Lola - my boyfriend used to work for an apartment leasing agency and if you brought them a gift to bribe them, you'd be the type of person they would laugh at behind your back and make fun of - so don't do it - LOL!!! I defintely don't think it will get you the apartment

Oh well, then I'd let it be. If they were super-enthusiastic, too, maybe I'd consider going for it. But I guess it might be kinda weirdy to just show up on someone's doorstep with flowers or food or something.
I'd personally like it but I'm a sucker for all things complimentary to myself.

I think this is a way better option than a gift. I share Honey's sentiments about that.
