I have a huge bag of cds and books I don't want and I have them listed on half.com but thought I might get more traffic on Amazon.com for this stuff. I don't know how else to get rid of it all. Has anyone ever sold stuff on Amazon.com? What are the fees like? How hard is it? Is it worth it?
yeah I love half.com but I've had some of this junk on there for 2 years almost and I just want it out of my room! I think I might try listing a few things on amazon (double listed) and see how it goes. I just know more people know about amazon.
I usually use half.com, but used Amazon to sell a book that I couldn't list on half.com because it wouldn't recognize the ISBN and no matter how many times I sent them a message to add it, they wouldn't respond(even though they say they will add ISBN). I think the fees were comparable to half.com's. It was easy to list the book.
I want to sell some books, but wondered about shipping. What do you ladies charge to ship and what do you wrap the books in? LIke, can you just wrap the book in heavy brown shipping paper and send it that way?
Well it depends on the book on how I ship it. If its paperback and can fit in a bubble mailer I send it that way. If its a hard cover book or textbook I send it in a box. FYI text books are extremely heavy and cost around $10 to ship since the post office makes you upgrade to priority if you want to send it first class. Media mail I think is around $7 or $8 for a heavy textbook. If its paperback I ship it media mail and its no more than a couple of bucks.
