Any Weekend NonShoppers??

I'm a non-shopper this weekend. I am trying to pay off all of my credit cards and stop the shopping insanity. I have so many clothes that I don't know what to do with them all and I'm sick of it. I figure, I have so little control over so many things in my life (the job, the smelly roommate, ect) that I might as well control something that I do have complete control over- my level of debt. So, that's my new plan.

I totally feel ya NylaBelle - that's exactly what I am doing - trying to pay off all of my credit card debt and stop my shopaholic problem! It's going ok so bad, I've taken the first step and given my credit cards to my boyfriend to hide from me. So it's good that I can't charge even if I wanted to. I am a weekend non shopper as well. I am proud to say I bought nothing all week, except MAC bronzing powder. And that is a major accomplishment for me.

I have been bad on Sat (went to the mall), but I couldn't find much...

Anyway, I have decided I have to go back on the ban for about 1 month ('til mid may). Hope you are with me! I have decided to get 2 tattoos, one on Tue (whish me good luck!), and one probably in may, so I have to save on other things.

I am doing the same as you: trying to finish up lotions, creams, shampoos... ( don't really think I need more than one of anything!)

So: no shopping, no luch out (unless strictly necessary, i.e a birthday), only grocery and music lesson. And I have listed some books on half.com; I have to get rid of stuff and make some extra money...

I was a non-shopper, didn't buy anything fun for myself.

Unfortunately, I did have to pay $650 to have the brakes replaced on my car. I hate cars and all the stupid related expenses!

Tell me about it. I had to pay $350 to replace something or another on my car last week and to make myself feel better I went and spent $120 on jewelry at this cute little boutique on Friday.

I've already worn one of the necklaces twice, so now it's down to $45 cpw but still! I'm on a shopping ban! I suck ass.

I'm officially banned from shopping (unless I find the perfect shrug for a reasonable price - that's my one get out of jail free card) until the end of June. And one more adjustment - doesn't count some form of bathing suit because I'll probably need one between here and there. So with the exception of a perfect shrug and a suit, I'm officially banned from shopping. I will be strong!
