They are the WORST airline I have ever flown with. I was supposed to fly to Mexico today but because of the swine flu the trip was canceled. I called Mexicana yesterday to get a credit for my flight (in accordance with their policies, etc) and was given a 4 digit code.
Then this morning I got an email from them saying to call urgently. So, I called, and they said that I was a "no show" at the airport. I explained that I called the day before to cancel and gave them the code. They basically told me they didn't know what that code was and they had no record of my call.
WTF?!?!?!
I am furious. Every time I call their customer service someone tells me something different and apparently names of people and/or confirmation codes don't help. They are completely lying and doing something devious to get out of refunding credits because of the swine flu.
I strongly advise you never to book with them. They have possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen and are extremely shady.
That's awful! I really hope you get it straightened out. Is there any way you can dispute it with your cc company? Good luck and thanks for the warning.

That sucks! First you lose a vacation then you just get the run around.
I would definitely call my cc company and alert them. I have Citicard and they are great about things like this. Make sure you make copies and keep records of all of your emails and phone calls.
