These may not come in a color you like, but several years ago I bought a pair of aerosoles (like a lot of us did!) and they are extremely comfortable and seem to fit your description. They make a similar style every year so you might check around or do a search for other colors in past styles or maybe other websites carry different colors.

Sofft shoes are incredibly comfortable. I've tried on several pairs, but haven't found a style that wows me personally yet. I do have a pair of their booties that I love. I don't really care for the black on the heel & sole, but maybe that's just me.

I like a lot of these. It's good to hear good things about Sofft, and I like the second pair of Borns and the Clarks you posted, Elle.

I think I'll go to Nordstrom and ask them if they are still accepting returns on worn shoes. If they are, I may get the Danskos and if they don't work out look at one of these others. I'm just worried the Danskos will be comfortable for a few hours but make my feet sore over the long haul. And obviously, you can't discover that by wearing them around the house.

Hmmm.

ETA: I went back to Nordstrom today and tried on the Danskos and they just weren't it. So, the gold Borns I originally posted are on their way! Yay!
