I was just called ugly by a coworker. !!  I work in a totally professional, not super-personal office, and one of my male coworkers just basically called me ugly. We were talking about me relocating to a different cubicle. The exchange went:


a**face: That cubicle has a good view of the hot naked girl who looks out her window. [our office is across from residential lofts]


me: If I want to see a naked girl, I have a pretty convenient way to do so.


a**face: Not a hot one.


me: Whoa! That's pretty mean - my feelings are kind've hurt.


a**face: Why should your feelings be hurt? I'm just saying what I think.


WTF?!? I feel like I just got covertly nuked.

I know how much things like this can sting, especially in the workplace, but I just saw the picture of you with your new hair and you look hot as hell so try to erase this comment from your mind!

ok, i didn't post in ur haircut thread cuz u had plenty of compliments already & i guess i was just being lazy, but he is off his rocker!!!  i think u look fabulous, especially w/ the new 'do, it suits u amazingly well.  also, i would report his ass to HR, not just cuz the sexual harassment thing but for revenge !!!  haha, no but really this guy needs to learn a lesson, what an idiot!!!

WHAT?!  that is one of the tackiest, crudest, rudest things i have ever heard.  don't ever speak to him again.  just pretend like he doesn't exist.  even if he's looking right at you waiting for a response from you, pretend like you don't hear him.  if you have to communicate for professional reasons, do so via e-mail.  i know this is all very passive-aggressive but i don't care.  and another thing--i hope something really bad happens to him.  and i mean it too.  like i hope he never gets laid, never gets a date and dies a bitter ugly old man.  a**face.

Whoa. That comment was all kinds of inappropriate. Joking or not - and if he wasn't joking - wtf? I mean, is he retarded? You now have a duty to post his e-mail address so we can all set him straight.


Seriously, though, I think the comment is reportable, as well as the spying on a naked girl *from work*? This doesn't even sound like a real guy; he sounds like some invented "asshole" character from an Office Space-type movie.


Btw, just checked out the hair thread - AWESOME. It looks great.

I can't believe that guy. If you don't report him for what he said to you, you should at least report him for oogling at the naked chic across the street. It was so inappropriate that he even mentioned it.

Don't worry about what he said to you. I really don't think he meant it. If you really thought someone was *that* unattractive would you actually tell them? Granted, he was WAY out of line and totally wrong because you really look fabulous!
