Stumped about what shoes to wear
Permalink Closed

In 9 days (not counting though) I will be off to the turks and caicos Islands for a week...I am trying to plan my outfits now, and I am having a problem deciding what shoes to wear with a particular dress.

Its very ella mossish - cotton dress - sleeveless - deep v neck - turqoiuse light and dark stripes...

Stripes like these...but NOT this color - its turqoiuse

I can't find a pic of the actual dress...

Anyway - I am stumped - I have silver strappy shoes..but they seem too formal to wear with a cotton dress. I have turq. shoes - but ew...too matchy...Pink seems to look bad....

HELP - for once in my life I am stumped about shoes!!!!

I have a pink Ella Moss dress that I wear with these Kors espadrilles, although mine aren't this color, they're natural (I wish they would have had these when I ordered mine...I love this color).  If you don't have shoes like this, a basic flip flop would be fine. Most casual sandals should work fine.

I think I need something a little dressier (since I will be wearing it at night) but not all out dressy - does that make sense??

I don't think you should wear anything dressy, because this is a really casual dress.  I like the idea of wearing some neutral colored espadrilles, I think that would look really nice.

JMR - I have the same problem with a green and white striped ella moss-y style dress that I bought to take on my honeymoon.  I've only worn the dress once, but I figured that wearing it with natural colored shoes, similar in style to these, would work:

I think it's the simplest color shoe to wear with a dress with that much color.

Get these shoes- I think I"m going to post about them right now because I keep mentioning them within posts.  They come in a bunch of colors, the brown, white, coral (peachy) could all be pretty, maybe even red?

That makes sense.  I was thinking of it casually.  I think a lime green might look cute. Maybe something like one of these?  it's a little more subdued than pink but it still coordinates.

Maybe a sherbert or coral?

Or pale pink might not be bad.

Or if you're not opposed to white.

All of these are from Zappos.  I hope this helps at least a little!
