New Balance all the way.  And trust me I have some pretty flat feet myself.  My podiatrist recommends New Balance also.

Second that. I run quite a lot and NB are the best shoes I have worn.

I too had a love affair with New Balance, and then I left them for Nike Shox...they are so comfortable and great b/c I have bad knees too. Also you can design your own pair on nike.com!

i have flat feet too and while i like NB, they're kinda heavy for me.  my absolute fave is saucony.  is there a frontrunners where you live?  the sa's are really great there and examine your feet before making a recommendation, it's actually kinda embarassing, they make you jog around the store and everything.  oh and for running shoes, you should always go a half size up.  hth!

frontrunners is so great, esquiress--i am pretty sure it's a local LA chain, though.  i always get my shoes there--i love them.

i have flat feet, too, and they are also very narrow.  for whatever reason, i always think that adidas fit my feet the best--they are narrower in the heels and wider in the toe box so you don't get any pinching.

For me Nike Air or Reebok DMX. I like my shoes very cushiony and bouncy. I run a lot, and *knock on wood* I rarely have joint pain.
