help me with sizing on this dress

I would definitely size down.

It depends on the dresses for me. If it's a structured dress, I take my regular size. If it's jersey or has any sort of stretch, I go down a size. From the photo it looks like I'd try a size down.

THis is something that you must try on the body. If the size is too big - it'll be visible in stretched/sack like bottom line of the armhole. Same is if the size is too small - it'll be too tight on the skin. Also the shoulder shape has to be the right size - you have to see how it looks on the body, I suggest you go to the store & try both sizes. I understand the desire to purchase a smaller size ( we all do it:), however, you look slimmer in the right size & shape that flatters you body.
The dress is beautiful, I also LOVE the color.

I would order both sizes and send back the one that doesn't fit.

I have found that their jersey dresses I have to size down and all other dresses I take my normal size. That dress is tough to tell. I'd probably do as suggested and order 2 sizes sending the one back that doesn't fit.

They are showing it in sizes S, M, and L. I'd probably go with the Small in this case.
