A&F and Hollister

I think they have been reading our posts lately... Yesterday I walked in the A&F, and the girl who was working folding something turned towards me, smiled, and said "Hi, how are you today?"

????

Then, walking out of the Hollister fitting room, the girl said "Thank you, have a nice day".

What's going on with them? DO you think someone has complained?

hey! I thought it was just me. I stopped by both stores this week, and the SA's actually smiled and said hi to me too. Maybe they actually figured out that people like going to stores where the SA's are actually friendly?

Haha, you two should write a letter to Abercrombie telling them that and how "proud" you are of them for finally acknowledging their customers.  Then maybe they'll start to say Hi to me too!

That's so weird that they just said hi to you -- my bf and I walked into an A&F this weekend, and the girl just inside the door smiled and said, "Hi, how are you?" in a really friendly voice.

When we left the store, my bf and I started talking about how weird it was that they acted nice for once and even acknowleged our presence!!

I asked the son of a friend who works there. He just got hired in the beginning of summer last year, and he said that they are not told to be rude or snotty or aloof.  I asked him if they were supposed to not help customers and he did the typical snort from kids that age and said no. On the other hand, he can be percieved snobby on his own so maybe they only hire people that naturally come off as snobs??

that is so funny because the same thing happened to me in hollister this morning and i wondered about it!  no one has ever said ANYTHING to me before in there and i usually practically have to set a fire to get some attention.

Only the girl in the front said hello to me but she also said goodbye too.  with smiles!

it's the end of the world as we know it ...

I think five people said hi and had whole conversations with me at Abercrombie yesterday! I feel much better now...I used to feel like a loser when people were just stone dead and silent.
