This has probably been discussed, but I am really excited about the new stuff at McDonald's. I don't like the burgers and stuff, but when faced with people who want to go there, I get the fruit and yogurt parfait ( I am addicted to these, I actually make trips there on my own for them) and the newly introduced fruit and walnut salad, which is green and red apple slices, grapes, and a small bag of candied walnuts(not sure why they are candied) with yogurt dip. I guess every fast food place has/will have a fruit salad and regular salads. This is a good thing.
i've actually heard their salads are worse for you than their burgers...but i might just be passing on unsubstantiated gossip. but to be safe, you might check the nutrition info on their website.
i mean, that's only if you care about the nutritional info, because i don't really. i enjoy a mcdonald's burger every month or so, so i'm not gonna beat myself up over the calories and fat.
I agree about some of those salads! The ones with deep fried chicken strips tossed on top? Mmmm.,sure...healthy. I read in Nutrition Action that some of the salads do have as much fat as a burger and fries(or almost as much). The fruit salads are great though because they very obviously haven't been deep fried, and they aren't coated in cheese. Although......deep fried cheese covered apple sounds very interesting!!
