i wish i had a pic but i tried on the j crew matchstick jeans today and i honestly can't decide if i should get them.  they are on sale plus 30% off on the site, which makes them about $49.  i have been meaning to try them b/c i need some skinny jeans w/ a straight leg and not too "painted on" looking.  when i first had them on i didn't love them.  then when i went outside of the dressing room and paired them with flats i thought they looked a bit better.  then i tried them on with these sandals (which are cuter irl) and i liked them much better:

so basically, i thought they looked pretty cute with a heel but not with flats (and the SA agreed).  however, i still can't decide if i should get them since i am sort of on the fence.  Please help!  if i get them i need to get them now to get the lower price, but the sale is final so i'm screwed if i don't like them.  also, the wash is "deep indigo" - not what i tried on today but it seems nice.  here are the jeans:

anyone??  i'm totally torn on this one.  one minute i think i should just blow it off and go to bed (i'm tired!) and the next minute i'm filling out the credit card info, thinking, they're only $49 and they're cute and they don't have to be my ONLY pr of skinny jeans. 

i think what i liked most about it was that the leg wasn't as skinny at the bottom.  i'm worried that i won't find any others that i like as much but i don't love them.  normally i'd wait but the 30% off ends tonight.  uggh.

I say get them. I have a pair and LOVE them. I love that they're not painted on, as you said...I haven't worn them with flats, always with heels. And $49 is a great price. Go For It!

I say get them too! $49 for jeans is a great price and if you like the way they look when you wear heels, just let them be your "heels only" jeans.

ha ha!!  got 'em!  thanks girls - i was actually going to go to bed until i saw your posts, but i decided to get them and i feel good about it.  the price was $60 shipped (would have been $69.99 plus tax in-store).

Good decision- tried to post earlier but was having trouble so glad you decided to buy. If it's not the only pair of skinny jeans then it sounds sensible to have some that are comfy and look good with heels!

I love J.Crew matchsticks (I have 3 pairs- 2 w/ shorter hems for flats and 1 longer for heels) and I'm glad you decided to get them.  I wear them all the time, and $60 is a great price imo.

yay - i'm glad i ordered them then (they definitely will not be my only pr of skinny jeans to wear with heels though)!  i'm hoping they will be a good comfortable staple.  thanks, everyone!
