personal shoppers?
Permalink Closed

as many of you may have read, i am in a work wardrobe rut.  my best friend suggested using a personal shopper from Nordstrom's to show me some different ideas that I may not think of myself to incorporate into my wardrobe.  I am hoping that they may be able to find me 5 pieces to help mix and match with what i already own.

has anyone here ever used a personal shopper?  any advice?  is it worth it?  do they show you things that you might not try usually?

I haven't but I totally would love to try it.  I think you should go for it (especially if they are free )

I really liked having a personal shopper- I should probably go back to it to get me out of my rut.

The lady I used was really great. She had all my measurments and took my hair, eye and skin color into consideration when she picked out clothes. Many time there would be clothes that she chose and when I saw them on the rack I said to myself "There is no way in hell I am going to wear that."- those were usualy the clothes I liked.

My ONLY complaint is that she sometimes was a little to conservative- not punky enough for me (which my grandmother liked). If you have a choice I would try to pick someone that dresses similar to how you would like to.
