How good are Alvin Valley sample sales?
Permalink Closed

Has anyone been...there's one in LA that starts today.

(copied off Daily Candy's LA Weekend email)

BUY
Alvin Valley Sample Sale
What: 50 to 80 percent off famously fanny-flattering spring and summer styles.
Why: Real women have curves.
When: Thurs.-Sun. noon-6 p.m.
Where: Le Meridien, 465 S. La Cienega Blvd.,
b/t W. Colgate Ave. and Clifton Way, Beverly Hills (310-247-0400). Ask for the Alvin Valley suite.

I am SUPER TEMPTED to go for like 10 minutes after work, since I work nearby (I leave at 2 PM but I have class at 3:30). I his pants and I know my size, but I'm trying not to spend too much, since I already blew a ton of money on the Moschino purse I bought last week.

Is it worth it? Could I wait until Saturday or would all the good stuff be gone by then?

Any help is greatly appreciated! TIA!

i've never managed to make it to the av samples sales when they happen (which is a shame b/c i do love his pants). there's a really long explanation as to why i didn't go to the last one, but the abbreviated (and relevant) portion is that the starting price for pants is appx $120 which made it not worth it for me (for reasons outside of the price).

when faced with shopping crises of this nature, i usually try to make a quick stop in to see if it's worth my time, and then make a decision. hth!
