Thoughts on current/elliott ?
Permalink Closed

So the brand current/elliott is EVERYWHERE right now. Celebrities are wearing it constantly and all the major stores websites are promoting the brand .

I recently won a sales contest at work and was given 2 styles of this brand , and I have yet to wear them. I just dont think I am feeling it .... So what is all your thoughts on these?

#1 I think I'd wear if I was in a more rock-chick mood (which, admittedly, isn't often) but #2 I really don't know what I'd do with. I don't like how baggy they are. I'd probably ebay those and find something you really like, unless you're expected to show off your new duds at work or something.

I should clarify - Its not that I dont like the trends - i do - but I dont like this brand. I think they have a weird higher rise , they gap at the waist , and I dont get the price point either - $228 + for each pair!

I love both the styles, they are very "me" but I've never tried on that brand before and really don't think I'd pay $228 + for a pair.

I agree - I love the look of both styles but I haven't worn them so I cant vouch for fit.  $228+ is a lot for a trendy wash/cut.  I'd consider paying that for a classic pair that I loved, but not something that might be dated within a couple of seasons.

I really love the first pair, the rise on those doesn't look bad to me!

I love the first pair too. Who is the girl on the far right - is that Kate Beckinsale? I like that look.

I love them but a girl I know has a pair but she is curvy and they don't look good on her IMO  Makes her butt look too big

Hmmm, from the pictures they look cute but I've never tried them.  I'm in the market for some cuffed boyfriend jeans... maybe I'll try to find them at a boutique and try them on and then weigh in on my opinion on fit.

I would love to have the second pair and wear them with my new BFF, my jcrew boyfriend vneck tee - especially when running around on the weekends. But not for $228 :-/ And I have seen people try to dress them up, but I'm not feeling it.

i really don't like the baggy boyfriend fit, i don't think it's flattering at all. the skinny jeans are cuter, but i'm not sure if they're worth $228. i'd ebay them if i were you, since you don't sound like you're too sure about them. then you could get something else that you really love.

i actually just got a pair of the elephant bell style and am quite happy with them.  imo the denim is really soft and feels broken in already which i really like, and am assuming is the reason they charge all that $. however i definitely would not have paid full price for them.

i've tried on the first pair and again i liked the denim, but wasn't blown away by the fit on my body. i really like the 2nd pair but haven't tried them on. i love the way zoe saldana is wearing them in this picture

sorry i couldn't crop this to get only the picture of zoe

I actually like this trend although I could only see myself actually wearing the second pair (the baggy version rolled up like in honey's picture). But if you're not feeling it -- eBay!

I kinda like both of them!!! Its not really my style but I could see you rocking them. I'd wear the first pair when going out for drinks, I'd play down the outfit though with some dark, plain tank and maybe simple jewelry.

The 2nd pair would be great for casual/weekend. I wouldn't pay $228 for either but hey you won them, might as well get some use!
