The post about Catalog Choice got me thinking and I just realized that I'm receiving way fewer catalogs than I used to. J.crew especially comes to mind - I used to get them all the time and I haven't seen one since before Christmas. I've been ordering from there a lot so I should still be getting them. And didn't they used to always stick a catalog in the box with your purchase, too? Seems like I've been seeing Anthro catalogs less frequently also.
Anyone else notice this? I'm guessing with declining sales it's probably a good way to reduce expenses since online shopping has become so mainstream.
I noticed that J. Crew catalogs aren't coming as often as they used to. Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, as well. Besides the most recent round, I can't remember the last time I received a catalog from either store. Victoria's Secret, however, is not losing any steam. I get several catalogs from them every month.
Now that you mention it, I haven't gotten any of those lately, either. But on the flip side, I seem to get Delia's cattys every other week and I've never even bought anything from there.

I don't know when Delia's became a company, but, years ago, I sent an interest card about some fragrances (probably Demeter) that I saw in a magazine. Somehow, this fragrance collection was affiliated with Delia's, and I received a ton of them for years! This is before online ordering too. Weird.
Anthro seems to be keeping it up for the most part, but JCrew has def slowed it down a bit. I remember when there used to be stacks of hundreds of copies of the JCrew cats in the dorms at Kent. Aaahhh...before we went green.
I'm also getting the same amount of JCrew catalogs. I got one with Lauren Hutton on the cover a few weeks ago and just this week I got their winter resort catalog.
So I guess they must have just cut back on volume printed and mailed, but not the actual production. Now that I know they're out there I'm sad to not be getting them. I love looking at their styling. I wonder how they decided where to send the catalogs? I hadn't bought from them in quite awhile but have placed six orders since December!
The only catalogs I see coming regularly is Victoria's Secret and Urban Outfitters. Other than that I just assumed that companies stopped sending me the catalogs because I haven't ordered from them in a while.
