I came across this site that allows you to request through them which catalogs you no longer wish to receive, and they handle it. So far I have had good luck cutting down on the number of catalogs I receive, and it's a free service.

Just wanted to share for those folks who are trying to cut down on clutter or paper waste (or temptation to spend).

sorry. you're not missing anything. The name of the site is also what it controls, so what was obvious to me wasn't to anyone else.

I've used it before too, and it does help!  We get so many weird catalogs, that it is hard to remember them.  So, as you get weird catalogs, tear off the cover and stuff it in a folder.  That way, when you're ready to unsubscribe, you won't forget titles or miss any.

Ok I must be an idiot. I went to that site but wasn't finding the place to opt out of things - just more weblinks. Do I need to start clicking on the other websites to start opting out of junk mail and catalogs?
