Hi!!!

Thanks!! Yeah, this is Rocco! My Chubba Wubba He's 8 months old now, believe or not, still a puppy and doing something goofy everyday. Hahahaha...

He just started a handling class yesterday, should be interesting....

Bullies are the best!!! Sorry, went a little crazy with the pictures. Enjoy!

Thanks, he's quite the character. :) People were against me getting a bullie because of all of their health issues.

Getting Rocco was the best decision I ever made.

Thanks, I fell in love with that name before I picked him up and it seems to just fit him. I also like Bruno, maybe down the road when I get another puppy. Hahahah....

I'd love to, I tried it earlier but I couldn't get it to save right. I think the file is too big.

you know what - I think it's shutterfly - I couldn't use an image I had there for my avatar before... is there any way you host the image where you have your current image hosted?

Yeah, bulldogs are known to have alot of health problems, more so than alot of other dogs.

Because of the way their nose is, they can have bad breathing problems. They also can get cherry eye, hip displaysia, and tend to overheat when its warm outside. They're not the type of dog that you want to have if you want to take it jogging.

Trust me, Rocco is by no means lazy, actually he's quite the jumping bean. But they can't overexert themselves. Unfortunately there are alot of bullies in rescue because people get them and don't understand about their upkeep. I know right now just in Detroit there are 8 bullies in need of rescue. Three women keep them all at their houses and screen homes to find a great home for the dogs. I can't foster a bullie because I already have so many animals but I do what I can to donate bowls, collars, blankets for the dogs.

Rocco's nose wrinkle has to be watched in case of infection, he's lucky but alot of bullies get water in there and then you need to put Desitin in the wrinkle. Plus many bullies are born with inverted tails that can cause problems.

The problem is, there are alot of "amateur" breeders out there. Bulldogs run anywhere from $1500-$2500 with the higher end being the common price. YOu don't want to 'bargain' shop for a puppy. Its typically $2000 for pet quality (fixed) and $2500 for show quality. Bulldogs have to be delivered c-section which also adds to the high cost of the puppies.

People try to have "puppy mill" litters to try to make alot of money. But they don't take the bloodlines, etc. into consideration. I've attached a link that helps explained all of the problems.

Although they have alot of problems, so do alot of other dogs. You could get a poodle that ended up having higher health problems then a bulldog. It just comes down to awareness of where your puppy came from, its bloodlines and making sure the breeder is reputable. Visit where the puppies are kept and make judgements from there.

I lucked out, Rocco is an angel and in good health.
