Trees and Grass, Oh My!

Isn't it cool how they can install enormous, nearly-mature trees like that? We had a 15 food magnolia installed in our yard last spring and it's really fun to watch them do it! I bet your little one got a kick out of it!

Actually I have a great appreciation for grass/sod/landscaping. I once upon a time took it totally for granted until we built our house and realized how much $$$ all that costs. We too went without anything for a very looooong time. So, I think it's beautiful grass :) And I love the trees. Are you doing a round driveway thing?

Oh, and which wing of the house can I move into? ;) It's beautiful!!!

Thanks everyone for the complements. We lived like monks (literally) for the first years of our marriage so we could save. We almost didn't make it through the first year but it was worth it in the end.

Elle: I adore Magnolia trees. My grandparents have one in their yard that has to be 30 to 40 ft. tall. It's so nice to sit under it and have swee tea. Le sigh.

Tati: It is a hole where a tree was going to be planted. I told him if he didn't behave I was going to leave him in it ;)

Rachera: We live on 20 acres of vines so we do have a lot of privacy. The only kicker is the moon dust, it makes me crazy!

We are working on the back yard right now. As soon as we are closer to finishing I'll put the pics up. Again - thanks girls!

oh it's beautiful- your house AND yard- so peaceful! Going to look amazing. I love gardens and yards. I'm no gardener or landscaper but it's great to see the transformations people make!
