Anyone have a speedy 25?

I have been wanting one for a long time but I'm not sure if I like the newer ones that have the lighter strap. I have heard people say something about oxidized , but what does that mean? Will the straps get darker?  Also will the bottom drop like the older bags? The price for these keep getting higher and higher so I want to hurry and get it.


Has anyone ever bought one from ebay?  Do you know any reputable sellers?

My Speedy 25. My .



I have had it since March 2003 and the leather DOES get darker. All LV leather handles are very light when they're new, but as they age, they will get darker. It's one of the best ways to identify a real bag from a fake one (the fakes don't age and get darker).


The bottom on mine does drop down, but if that's a huge problem, I'd just stick a piece of cardboard to help the bag keep its shape.


I don't know about any Speedy bags that are newer than mine though.
