i can't make up my mind. i've wanted these Mayle wedge sandals since last summer. i've seen pictures of people like kirsten dunst and nicky hilton wearing them, but for the life of me i couldn't find a picture.

these are a closed-heel version of them. just try to imagine white or snakeskin with a strap on the back... instead of being closed. the strip that sweeps across the front to back of the foot remains the same, but imagine the leather cutout so that it looks like there are triangular cutouts.

Now the problem is that these shoes are $350+. I really want them and have wanted them since last year. But could I really justify this price for a summer shoe? The pros are that they are comfy (some of my girlfriends got them to match for a bridesmaid outfits for a friends wedding) and that they are nice enough to wear to work so I could get more wear out of them than my other option. The cons are the price. This would probably mean no other summer shoes except $10 flipflops.

-or-

My other option would be these C. Ronson shoes. I doubt they are work appropriate, but the pros are they do seem comfy and I can get them for 20%.

So should I just get the Mayle? Or just suck it up for C. Ronson, which is still an awesome shoe. I would ideally love both, but that's not going to happen.

If you have the money, I would get the dream shoe.  This is mostly because you have been thinking about them for so long.

I'd take a look at your summer shoe collection.  You probably already have several pairs of summer shoes, so going one summer without buying a bunch of shoes might not be a big deal for you.

Definitely go with the Mayle. They are wonderful and you would get lots and lots of wear out of them. And it's not like the C.Ronsons are 10$ a pair ;) - IMHO it's better to spend money on something you love.

Dream shoe! They'll be worth it in the long run. You shouldn't settle for something you only like when you can afford what you really want and love (those mayle wedges are sooo hot).

I think you'll be happier with the Mayles, especially since you've wanted them for so long.

dream shoe for sure. The C.Ronson ones really aren't that much cheaper anyway.
