Great anthro top... $29 ("buy it now" - I am not patient)

anthro skirt..... $42, also "buy it now." Prob could get this cheaper but oh, well!

and... the piece de resistance... nwt small botkier luxe trigger bag in "almond" brown $400 (another case of "buy it now," but I didn't want to risk losing the auction:

Yay! I lost a bidding war on a Kai Chen necklace, but tomorrow is another day.

I love everything!  digging the botkier  - like this one so much better than the light color suede one - it will age nicely... beautiful!

The Botkier is my favorite; great purse, you are sure to get plenty of use out of it.

youre probably the most fashionable person in DC by far.  whenever i'm out for lunch i always 'look' for ladies like you... women here are waay too into the career look.

Thanks, girls!  Glad you like.

For those of you who like the anthro stuff, the seller's store is Pinky's Midnight Boutique (I love that name - esp. given that I was actually shopping near midnight!)

http://stores.ebay.com/Pinkys-Midnight-Boutique_W0QQssPageNameZl2QQtZkm

She is very fast with shippnig and answering questions, and very friendly (so I feel compelled to give her a plug here).

rocky, so far I plan on pairing the top (it comes with that cami) with some trouser-ish jeans, rust-colored boots (or my tan suede pointy blahniks), a camel cord blazer (just for outside), and the botkier.  As I get closer to summer, that will turn into brown leather sandals (like the Steve Madden wood and leather ones I am obsessed with) OR my C Ronson wedges and perhaps my favorite Miss Sixty denim skirt (which is like a  very slim a-line - almost a pencil).  And still the botkier, which I am beside myself waiting to receive!  Also I have these very cool shell disc drop earrings (wore them in opne of my thread style photos - they're like cascades of tiny cream discs) that I'll wear.

iconic (love your screen name) -  Thanks for the compliment!  I feel the same about women here.. it's so weird.  My sister claims that she needs to dress "conservatively" because she's a gov lawyer, and I think that is the mindset.  It would not make me dress any differently - I think that is just easier for people to tell themselves!  There was a chat on the Post site the other day where this woman actually COMPLAINED to the style section editor that Robin Givhan's fashion column (when she writes about runway shows and so on) was unnecessary because DC is "not a fashion town."  Then she said noone here would spend above $100 on an article of clothing (huh?  Who IS that unfortunate woman?)  Can you believe that?  That's exactly WHY we need the fashion coverage!  I wonder if a certain "type" just thinks it's frivolous and below their oh-so-important lifestyles.  And I actually am not even that into Givhan's columns - I have always thought she catered to the dowdier set.... huh.
