Thanks Halleybird - I do wear it a lot . I'm going to spend this summer in Vermont but I don't know what the weather will be like.

I think now is the best time to buy one. I always buy pashmina's around this time because they're on sale and I can wear them next year as well as over the summer when I go to the beach at night or some other event where I'm outside when it's cool. You can usually get them pretty cheap at department stores, especially with coupons. I really love this one:

Ok, I really hate to sound stupid but I live in the south & I don't even know if I would ever use a pashima, tell me how you wear it - is it in lieu of a jacket? Again, not to be dumb, but I really like the look of it and it seems that it would not be so hot that I couldn't wear one in mild weather? I've been wanting to ask this, & this seems to be as good a post as any since ya'll are discussing them anyway. I love the look of the one bliss posted.

Jakets are not my style so I'm into other kinds of cover-ups I looove the look of pashminas and shawls. I have one pashmina and two really wonderful non-pashmina wraps. I spent the last summer in Vermont and I wore my pashmina quite a lot (it's thin and ivory in color) but it was raining all the time, which is unusual. I do wear it a lot in mild weather in NorCal where I live. In winter I wear it as a scarf. Hope this helps.
