They also gave me silicone muffin cups and an old Japanese musical jewelry box that belonged to a dear friend of the family who passed away several years ago.

My brothers gave me gift certificates to a nearby pizza place and gift certificates to Best Buy (which I used today to buy an ipod dock). My older brother also gave me his old TV that he didn't use and I'd been wanting. But the funniest gift was that they got me a tape measure...they are practical if nothing else!

One aunt made me an apron, and another made family calendars for everyone.

But the best present is this mixer from BF, which I chipped in on a little and we bought refurbished:

I didn't want "things" this year (I'm just starting to feel too environmentally and socially conscious) ...so my mom got me a day at the spa (literally 5 hours worth of treatments, etc.). My dad got me a AAA membership. My husband and I are pooling our money and going on a mini vacation down the coast. The only "thing" i got was an iPhone, and that was in part because my cell phone died and I needed a phone anyway.
