I want to make a easter basket for my b/f for easter. I was going to theme it since he is moving into a new apt. Any ideas on what I should put in it. I was thinking like a lot of little things such as an ice cream scooper and a pizza cutter. Along those lines. Any suggestions? Thanks!

When I was dating this one guy, I got him a bunch of household stuff like TP, Kleenex, paper towels, sponges, dishwashing liquid, Ziploc bags, aluminum foil, etc.  He was thrilled b/c it left him w/one less chore to run out & do while moving in.  Plus, everyone else was getting him the normal housewarming stuff, so he appreciated it a lot more b/c it was totally practical.

Corkscrew! A good corkscrew! (of course that would be my suggestion) And a bottle of wine, of course.

Also, this is the best cheese grater on the planet - seriously (microplane grater/zester):

Never worry about grating your fingers again - it grates with practically no pressure... a pleasure to use (I am a geek, yes). Also can be used for zesting, of course.

Also some dishtowels would be nice. And agree with kealoha that some basic staples are a solid choice as well. I was really grateful to move into my new palce and find that the building mgt had left a little welcome bucket with extra lightbulbs, sample sizes of detergents, DW gloves, a few trashbags, etc. Just little samples to get you started.
