boyfriend and i are planning a trip to an all inclusive in Mexico the week between Christmas and New years (we both get it off). Anyone have any recommendations of places?
I would highly recommend the Occidental Royal Hideaway in Playa Del Carmen on the Riviera Maya. It's absolutely breathtaking. It's all all-inclusive, it's 5 star.
Here is a website with a bit more information. let me know if you have any other questions on the place.

thanks Collette! it looks stunning (i like your avatar btw!)
If you'd like a smaller resort, Ceiba del Mar was a real treat (stayed there in Jan) - they have an all inclusive meal plan (not sure if it includes drinks) or just breakfast. It's luxurious, intimate, low-key, secluded (20 miles south of cancun), and has a spa. Really one of my favorite places I have stayed. Just lovely, non touristy, and peaceful. Def. opt for at least a junior suite (which is what I had) ...
i am noticing a lot of these resorts are closed the week between christmas and new year's. which is strange because i know of a lot of people that go to mexico during that week... this is going to throw a wrench into our plans for sure...
