removing stain from leather boots
Permalink Closed

I ruined my favorite pair of knee-high boots several months ago by spilling some sort of liquid on them - a drink or something greasy, I don't remember! Anyway, they are a medium-light shade of brown and now have a huge dark splotch on them. Is there ANY way a shoe repair shop could remove the stain? If not, is there a cheap way to darken the whole boot to "match" the stain?

I got them at a really great sale, so I didn't pay a lot for them, but they are so comfortable & I love them & really really want to salvage them because I hate when clothes go to waste!

I would try darkening them all over to match the stain. I use vaseline on all my older boots - it rehydryates them and usually deepens the color too!
