shoes (and outfits) for NY trip

My first post!  I will be going to NY for the first time in mid-March and am in search of comfy, yet stylish shoes.  I thought it'd be a great time to get some flats but I look so awkward in them (I've almost always worn boots).  Any recommendations on what I can wear with them?  Do I have to take into consideration snow?

I like the first 2, but as far as suggestions, idk.  All I know is that those shoes are adorable.  Plus they look like they could go with anything

hey bub -

What cute picks. All of them could dress up or down really well. NYC has the potential for chilliness in March (or the opposite!) so you'll want to think in layers and possibly a heavier layer included.

I love the puff-sleeve blazer/jacket at the gap (have it - the fit is awesome) - that would be great with a simple cami (or even a babydoll), jeans, and those round-toe flats for a casual look.... add some great earrings.

The MJ flats would be so cute with a little dress and a cardi.. I am thinking a very Claire Danes type of vibe.

For daytime shopping, some cool sneakers (pumas, roos, whatever) + jeans + cord blazer + layered tees would be great, add a nice roomy tote and even a scarf if it's cold.

I am also going to NY at the end of March, and I'm wondering whether I should pack an all-black selection? I am only going for 3 days and I want to travel very light...

Thanks for the suggestions dc!  I actually just ordered a pair of these:



On a side note, I actually have these sitting in my closet and would be great for my trip, but what can I pair with these to keep warm?  And any outfit ideas for the brown one would be much appreciated (brown has always been so elusive for me that I shy away from it!).  I was thinking a pink top, but wouldn't brown/khaki pants be too much brown?
